Earrings – Spinifex Grass Paper Rectangles
These earrings were made by hand in Central Australia using products made and collected on the million acre cattle station we call home. The paper used to make this piece of jewellery is hand made from the native Central Australian Grass in the Old Abattoir.
These earrings are made from Spinifex Grass Paper. Each time we make paper from a grass type it comes out a different colour and texture depending on where the plant is in it’s life cycle. This paper is then used to make jewellery.
We hope you enjoy your wonderful piece of jewellery, knowing it is a handmade and one-off piece.

PS: This is a new design concept – using paper as it is rather than making it into a bead. The design has been THOROUGHLY tested by me before being happy to make some for you. I have worn mine every day for the last 6 months. The have been in the shower, in the cattle yards, on the quad, in 45 degree heat and still going strong. I’m sure you will probably take more care of yours than I have of mine. The paper is coated in a special coating to bring out the colour and texture, but also make give the paper a level of water resistency and durability. Paper is tougher than we give it credit for!
Made from Curtin Springs Paper and part of The Conner Collection
