Paper Pulp Necklace Set – Mixed Grass Paper Pulp
Made by hand in Central Australia using products made and collected on the million acre cattle station we call home. The paper used to make this piece of jewellery is hand made from the native Central Australian Grass in the Old Abattoir.
This piece is made from three different types of grass paper pulp. The wet pulp is laid out in a mould and left to dry naturally giving the piece lots of beautiful texture. The dark brown colour comes from paper pulp made from Desert Oak needles, Desert Oaks are the largest trees we have on the station. The red colour comes from mixing some clay from our large clay pan into the paper pulp before we turn it into sheets of paper.
This is a set that also includes a pair of matching earrings.
